Character Descriptions:

Callie (Bernice Sim) : late 20s to early 30s. An eleven year veteran of NYC’s mean streets, Callie has been coasting through her life. She is a radio traffic reporter (a position she got through the Uncle of a boyfriend) who doesn’t own a car, and has a love life centered on availability and convenience with her friend George. Meeting Sara forces her to re-evaluate her inability to commit to anything seriously.

Sara (Jenn Shea): mid 20s to early 30s. A third-grade schoolteacher from the mid-west, Sara has moved to NYC on a fellowship to teach inner-city kids. While a bit of a fish-out-of-water, she knows what she wants and is willing to takes a stand on little as well as big things. Meeting Callie forces to confront her own buried reasons for wandering from her safe life in Saint Louis.

George (Dan Gelinas) : late 20s to early 30’s. George is Callie’s friend and sometime boyfriend. He is a hip, funny, and laid-back guy. He seems quite content with the very open relationship he has with Callie and life in general.

Peter (Patrick Flanagan): Mid 20s to early 30s. Sara devoted boyfriend from Saint Louis, Peter is a Midwest boy, with surprisingly Midwest values. He is confused (and hurt) by Sara’s need to grow and change and explore.

Mrs. Winsley (Sandie McNeal) : mid 40s to mid 50s. A lonely Greenwich Village matron, Mrs. Winsley appears to be drawn into the action more because her comfort was disturbed than from a sense of duty, but appearances may be deceiving…

Detective Cole (Paul Battaglia) : late 30s to late 40s. A hard-boiled police NYC detective, Cole is just trying to do the job and find out ‘what really happened”.

Nurse (Sujoy De) : late 30s to mid 50s. The Nurse is good at the job and non-judgmental.
